We All Need Energy

With all of the gadgets that are invading our homes and offices as fast as they can the need for batteries to run all of them can be a challenge. It seems that I am always running to the cabinet that holds the shoe box that I try and keep full of various batteries, only to find that the kind that I am needing at that time are not there, it never seems to fail. As hard as I try to keep them all in stock it just seems to be an impossible task and I seem to constantly being purchasing some type of battery when I go to Walmart where the prices are usually lower then other retail stores for most batteries.

But when it comes to the energy that is necessary to run the various computers in the house I turn to the Internet to help me find what I need. I mean it isn’t as if you can run down to any store and buy like a dell battery or a Dell  ac adapter for example just anywhere. The best place that I have found so far online which is where I just found the Dell AC Adapter that hubby needed for his laptop and he needed it quick like and so far they haven’t let me down without having to pay extra for it.

Something that I really like is that they have a link on their website that you can type in your zip code and hopefully find one of the over 30,000 locations that are provided for any of us to use to drop off any of our old cell phones or rechargeable batteries to be recycled. If you know me at all you know how seriously I feel about recycling.

Since we live out in the boonies I really didn’t expect to see any place close at all for us to use but was pleasantly surprised to find 5 that are convenient for us and believe me we have taken advantage of these collection locations since discovering them a while back, it’s all good!

Green Is My Favorite Color These Days

A Wedding

It’s been a good long while since I have attended a wedding. So when I was told that I was going to be invited to a co workers wedding next spring, I have to admit that I found myself getting a bit excited about the whole ordeal.

I think my favorite part of a wedding is after all the vows have been made and the reception gets started, usually with a band or a D.J. playing some good jamming music for everyone to enjoy listening to and hopefully dance to as well. After the first dance is over and done with the dance floor opens up and the fun begins. I love to dance. I don’t get the chance to shake my tail feather much these days so I really look forward to putting on my dancing shoes and cutting the rug a few times.

Koolaburra Savannity Boots On Top Of List

Now these Koolaburra Savannity Boots are a must have for me for this Christmas. I have been looking for some time now for boots just like these and about fell off of my chair when I stumbled onto these last night. These come in three colors, Seta, Black and Chestnut. Years ago I would have fallen for the Chestnut, but now I think the black would be a better choice for me. I don’t have all that much in browns these days, but I always have plenty of black and most things go with black so it is a much safer color in my wardrobe and for my age.

koolaburra savannity boots made of sheepskin

I hope it isn’t too late to get the word out that I have updated my Christmas Wish List to the few friends and family members that actually ask what I want and or need for Christmas. These wonderful boots of sheepskin have managed to bully their way right on top of that list so I need to do some adjusting and quick. Like if my two sisters or a brother decide to go in together for me under the Christmas tree this year, this would be a perfect gift. I haven’t had a boot like this in so very long and I’m anxious to see how they look and how they feel.

An Interesting History of The Athletic Shoe

Who would have ever thought that we would have so many types of shoes to pick from these days. When I was a kid we either had Keds or P.F. Flyers to choose from to wear for gym class. Now a days they have so many types of “athletic shoes” on the market that it just makes my head spin. I found this great Infographic about comfort shoes for men and women history, on the Web today that I found interesting and enlightening and thought that I would re post it here on my blog in case anyone else was interested in reading about The History of Athletic Shoes. I am going to have my kids read it as well when they get home from school today. I am hoping that it will make for interesting conversation at tonight’s dinner table instead of the usual nonsense that ends up being discussed so often here lately.
