My son turned me onto one of the most entertaining and enjoyable of “Reality Show” impracticable Jokers. It comes on the TruTV channel on our cable package. Not a channel that I had ever spent any time watching. It now is on top of my “Favorite” channels!
This show is about four long time best friends that enjoy embarrassing each other in any way that they can! So far my favorite episode is when Sal and Murr try to get someone in a campus library to hush them, using bird calls, jingle bells, tubas and other loud sounds that are not acceptable to produce in a library any where. The cymbals at wwbw.com turned out to be too much for Sal to handle so he walks out with his head hanging down low and is one step closer to be that nights “Loser” and that is never a good thing.
Since I seem to come from such a musical family (I was left out of that whole loop) I will be spending a good amount of time this holiday season online looking at various musical equipment, instruments and all the wonderful accessories that are available these days. Not only have I been looking at all these goodies but I’ve place several orders and am anxious for them all to arrive safe, and sound..
One of the better sites that I’ve spent a good amount of time and money at has some pretty terrific Native Instruments that I know my kid brother would just love to get his hands on. I’ve all ready purchased a birthday gift for him, several months back actually, so I have sent him the link to the site on Facebook.
Funny how we really don’t talk face to face much these past couple of years, it’s come down to using texts, Instant Messaging, email or Face Book. The only time I really see him is the few times a year that the family tries to gather for Thanksgiving and Christmas. He just isn’t the type of person that is comfortable around family, he’s pretty much a loner, but we still love him and won’t stop trying to reel him in any time soon.
My best friend whom I went to elementary, middle and high school with flew down to stay with me for a month and I couldn’t of had a better time with her. When in high school we learned how to play the keyboard together, and it ended up being one of our favorite things to do together after school when we went over to each others houses.
When her flight landed she had called me to tell me she landed and was ready for me to pick her up, so I quickly gathered all my things I needed for the ride and left in a hurry because it had been years since I had seen my best friend and spent actual time with her without all of our other friends around or with us. When I got there she had her old key board she used to play when we played together back in the day. Later that night when we settled in, she took out her keyboard and asked if I had my old one I used to play and I took out my new one I had purchased about a year ago.
My old keyboard broke after my move into my house after college, so I searched online for a new one and came across a full piano keyboard and found the perfect replacement for a great deal. She thought it would be cool if she got one as well, so I ordered one at musicians friends online and when it came to my doorstep she was thankfully still visiting and we both got to play together like old times with our updated keyboards.
I really like the new led lights that my son put on his dad’s truck for him today. I’m so glad that he his finally starting to show some interest in spending more time around here with his dad rather than running around town with his friends playing their very loud, outrageous music and having their sound activated lights that at times really gets my head a pounding. I never used to be so sensitive to certain lights. I am even noticing that I’m having a harder time driving at night. The oncoming headlights are getting harder for me to stay on the road.
The weather has been delightful and they both have been getting a good amount of things taken care of around here this past week. Now if only I could get them to help weed and harvest the garden so I could get that under control. I really want it done by the middle of October.
I don’t think that I would enjoy going to a music concert at this point in my life. The last one I went to it was because I was given two Zac Brown Band Tickets and I felt obligated to go, why I don’t know, but I did. I called up a friend from work and she jumped at the chance to go, so off we trotted, dressed to kill, ready for a night of fun rocking and rolling our hearts out even though it was a work night and we both needed to be at work bright and early the next morning. We grabbed a quick bite to eat and had a couple of after dinner drinks to get us in the mood and got there just moments for the show started.
Things went down hill from there I’m sad to say. First, it was way too loud and we were stuck in seats that were right in front of one of the largest speakers that I’ve ever seen in my life. Second, we had assigned seats but no one wanted to sit down during the performance so we had to stand up as well which really sucked after working all day, on my feet for the majority of the time. Even standing up we couldn’t see much so we kept sitting down a good part of the time. The third problem was with the group of people behind us, it was a big group of people that must have been smoking something and chasing it with whiskey or tequila or something just as horrible, their behavior was totally outrageous, they were loud, mean, vulgar and kept arguing and fighting between themselves, it was just crazy.
The next day at work we were both dragging, feeling like little old ladies, which was very disturbing to me. It was then that I realized that my concert going days have come to an end. I don’t care if some one turned me on to some Elton John Tickets, I’m done. Now that’s not saying that I don’t want to attend any type of live performance. I love comedy and I’d love to get my hands on some Dane Cook Tickets, he is my absolute favorite comic, right up there with Jeff Dunham and Jeff Foxworthy. Go ahead and make me laugh any time, please.
