Impracticable Jokers

My son turned me onto one of the most entertaining and enjoyable of “Reality Show” impracticable Jokers. It comes on the TruTV channel on our cable package. Not a channel that I had ever spent any time watching. It now is on top of my “Favorite” channels!

This show is about four long time best friends that enjoy embarrassing each other in any way that they can! So far my favorite episode is when Sal and Murr try to get someone in a campus library to hush them, using bird calls, jingle bells, tubas and other loud sounds that are not acceptable to produce in a library any where. The cymbals at wwbw.com turned out to be too much for Sal to handle so he walks out with his head hanging down low and is one step closer to be that nights “Loser” and that is never a good thing.

Around Here

I really like the new led lights that my son put on his dad’s truck for him today. I’m so glad that he his finally starting to show some interest in spending more time around here with his dad rather than running around town with his friends playing their very loud, outrageous music and having their sound activated lights that at times really gets my head a pounding. I never used to be so sensitive to certain lights. I am even noticing that I’m having a harder time driving at night. The oncoming headlights are getting harder for me to stay on the road.

The weather has been delightful and they both have been getting a good amount of things taken care of around here this past week.  Now if only I could get them to help weed and harvest the garden so I could get that under control. I really want it done by the middle of October.

A Trumpet Case As A Birthday Gift From WWBW

This particular trumpet case at wwbw that I have finally decided on looks like a good quality product at a good price, just in time for me to order for my oldest son’s birthday,  that has just crept up on me this year. At WWBW they don’t charge any shipping fees on the majority of orders and I’ve had good luck with them in the past so I hope that they pull through for me again this time around.

They have such a great variety of trumpet case that have a wide variety of price points to please just about any type of budget that a customer could ask for. They also offer special discounts of educators which I think is the cherry on top for this company! I guess this is one good reason that they have been around and in business for well over 35 years.

As my kids grew older it seems to get harder to find and be able to afford presents that they will actually appreciate and use. This case has been on his wish list since before Christmas. I’m glad that I remembered just in time.

Parenting Discussions

Last week I discovered a discussion board about parenting. The very interesting part of the board is that the users are separated geographically, with one board for parents in New York City an another board for parents in San Francisco. Evidently, plans have been made to bring on more cities in the near future.

In the meantime, it is amazing to read the different attitudes between parents on the two coasts. This is beyond mommy blogging and quite an introspective on mothering differences. And, of course, I have opinions on several of the topics, so I have made a few tentative posts to see if my thoughts are received well or will I be flamed for my opinions?

For A Fleeting Moment In Time

It ‘s just that as much as I love music, I just don’t know all that much about reading music or playing any of the musical instruments that are designed and made to make beautiful music. So when my daughter started asking me if she could get a guitar and start taking lessons I was floored. She has her eye on a few guitars at musician’s friend, but to be honest I just don’t know if that would be the best way for her to go right off the bat.

I don’t mind getting her a guitar but I really don’t want to invest more money than I have to before finding out the whole story as well as having concerns that she will lose interest and I’ll be left holding the whole bag, the guitar, the all mighty 22 watts amp along with all the other pieces of that brief time that my daughter expressed such an interest in learning some type of musical instrument or learn how to sing!
