Don’t Judge A Book By It’s Cover

Sunday, April 22nd, 2012

I am reading a book by Sybil Leek, “Diary of a Witch” The private life of one of the world’s most famous and colorful psychics. It isn’t the type of book that I would normally read, but I needed a book to stick in my purse the other week and just grabbed one off of the book shelve as I was running out the door. But I’m glad that I picked this book because it has turned out to be a pretty interesting read that I have learned a lot from it as well. When I read this part about Ben Franklin I knew that I had

The great American statesman, scientist, inventor and philosopher, Benijamin Frankin, wrote his own epitaph at the age of twenty-two. Carl Van Doren called “the most famous of American epitaphs.” Unfortunately, it was never used on Ben Franklin’s tombstone.

Around Here

Saturday, April 21st, 2012

I really like the new led lights that my son put on his dad’s truck for him today. I’m so glad that he his finally starting to show some interest in spending more time around here with his dad rather than running around town with his friends. The weather has been delightful and they have been getting a good amount of things taken care of around here this past week.  Now if only I could get them to till the garden so I could get it planted. I really want it done by the end of April.

WHINEY DOG

Saturday, March 24th, 2012

Thanks for the post, Arthur Lawrence

I was on-line today using my clearwirewimax4g connection to do some research from home on a project that I am working on for work. When we don’t have clients scheduled or specific meeting that he have to be at, if we can do our work from home, our boss allows it. The only rule is that we have to always be available by phone and check our e-mail hourly. It is a pretty good deal to be able to stay home and do research for your job from the comfort of your couch and laptop. Today though, I was totally distracted. I usually take my dog for a walk in the mornings before I go to work and before I get in the shower. Today, I had so much work to do though, I decided that I would walk him later in the afternoon—big mistake! It was like he knew that we didn’t go on a walk when we usually do and he was getting fussy. By getting fussy he was whining, barking at me, and sitting looking out the window whining. It was so annoying I couldn’t focus on work. Finally, I had to break down and walk him for thirty minutes! I will not be doing that again. If I am staying home working, he is getting walked in the morning!

Maintenance Crew Trying To Maintain

Saturday, March 3rd, 2012

This afternoon was kinda crazy due to the hydraulic hose busting on the street maintenance crew that has been working right across the street since the early morning hours this morning. There was twice as many vehicles out there that arrived to help with the mess and with the attempts to fix the damaged hydraulic hose that were depending on to complete their task at hand before up and moving on to another neighborhood that requires their expertise and time.

Video Teleconferencing

Monday, January 30th, 2012

We got good news today at work, they are finally going to start offering video teleconferencing to several employees. No one is really sure who those employees are going to be as of yet. I really hope that I will be one of the “chosen ones” as does everyone. Video teleconferencing really is the wave of the future, it saves time and money for everyone all across the board. Just the thought of not having to deal with the daily commute, traffic and parking gets me excited.

We have been promised some more definite information come next week. Keep your fingers crossed for me out there.
