Just saw a commercial for GEICO starring Charlie Daniels. It is one of their new series that starts with the questions, “Does GEICO save you money on car insurance?” And they answer with another questions, which leads into the rest of the commercial, “Does Charlie Daniels know how to fiddle?”
The rest of the commercial show Charlie playing his fiddle in great form, the bow is frayed and he finishes with a florish, saying, “That’s how it is done!”
I love Charlie Daniels and I’m tickled that he is doing this commercial for GEICO, even though I will never buy insurance from them again.
Screw me once, shame on you. Screw me twice, shame on me.

Tuesday night is the one night of the week that I try to be sure to be home to watch my favorite TV shows. The start at 7 and run until after midnight. So I like to have take out food for dinner and I can settle in the living room to relax and watch the TV.
The best part of Tuesday night is the Sons of Anarchy series on the FX channel. The show is close to real drama about a biker gang in California. It has a lot of technical inconsistencies and things that would never ever happen in a real biker gang, but at least it doesn’t show them as the comedic neanderthal thugs that most TV shows and movies portray the bikers. I enjoy watching it each week.

The is the fourth week of the NFL 2009-2010 season. My two favorite teams are not doing well. At All.
Today the Titan’s play in Jacksonville at noon.My Redskins also play at noon against Tampa Bay, so I won’t be able to watch that game.
That pretty much kills the entire day. Don’t have time to anything before the game except read the Sunday paper and cook up the football grub. Afterward, I have time to do a little laundry and get online for a bit, then it is the “Amazing Race” at 7:00.
Gosh, this sounds so domestic and boring, but in actuality I really enjoy this day. It’s cozy and filled with family and entertainment. So I’m a happy Donna on Sundays in the fall and winter.

I marked my calendar a month ago so I would not miss tonight’s first show of the new Survivor series. I’ve been hooked on this show for 8 years.
This series has more players at the start of the show. Last season there were 16 players at the start. This time they have 20 players. I wonder how that will work toward the end when they have to eliminate everyone down to the last two?

Tonight I saw the first commercial for the new Survivor series. The premiere will be on September 17. I have to mark the calendar to make sure that I don’t plan anything to conflict with watching the new show.
It looks like this new series is again in a tropical setting and the twist is that they have a huge cast. They are starting out with 20 contestants this time. That is going to make for a lot of interesting characters and some exciting competitions.
