I’m glad that I noticed that the inspection sticker on my car is ready to expire at the end of this month. I would hate to be pulled over and given an ticket for driving on a dead inspection sticker that would really suck and put a real damper on any Christmas spirit that I can pull out of my butt hat. Some days I can really feel it, especially if a certain Christmas song comes on. There aren’t a lot that I like to listen to, but every now and then one will come on that I haven’t heard a zillion times in my life time that will get me pumped up!
I know a lot of people take issue with having to get their vehicles inspected every year, it is a hassle, but in all reality it is a good thing since too many people would be driving vehicles that are not safe for them to be driving nor safe enough to be sharing the road with other drivers. Remember: Safety First!
Did you know that there are still states out there that don’t require anything after the first initial purchase and safety inspection. When you stop and think about all the vehicles that you are trying to share the road and the possible conditions that those other cars are experiencing that are not being taken care of for one reason or another, it can put a good scare in me especially when I’m in one of my “paranoid” moods. At least a legally required inspection sticker puts the heat on people to take care of the major safety factors or else drive illegally and possibly get pulled over, your license run and most likely a ticket that will cost you some of your cold hard cash. While a police officer stands by your car window and wishes you a Merry Christmas!
I’ve heard bits and pieces of this saying for many years, but I’ve never been able to find the whole thing. My best friend sent me another cute email today and at the end of it was this saying! Finding this was the best thing to happen to me all week.
I have been contemplating taking a tax class and then take the much talked about tax preparer exam and then during tax season I could get one of those tax preparer jobs that so many people have turned to in order to generate some income into the household.
I like the fact that a tax preparer only has to work part of the year, so that leaves a lot of time left in order to do the things that so many working mothers need to take care of these days. I would love to be able to help friends and family with their tax questions and their tax forms at no charge, as well as learning a whole lot in order to get my taxes done with the best return possible. That would just be so worth it and so cool. I am going to start looking into this real soon.
Stepping out of the United States isn’t something that I have had the opportunity to do in my lifetime, but you can bet that one day I will have the time and the money to do a bit of traveling before I get to old to enjoy it.
A good friend of mine has been living in the gili islands for over three years and she has decided to start looking for salon equipment to buy since she loves it over there and it going to put her roots down there. She has always been good with hair and has wanted to open up her own salon for as long as I can remember. It’s wonderful to know that she is really doing what she wants to do, even it is all the way across the world!
I can’t even imagine how much of a challenge to be opening up your own business in a land so far away from home. Just finding all the salon equipment has to offer off or online would be too much of a challenge for me, since I have such a hard time making decisions. I wish her all the luck in finding a beauty equipment supplier that will treat her fair in getting this dream done.
My sister just told me that I could be using white distilled vinegar instead of liquid fabric softener in my washing machine that works just as well as any fabric softener around. I thought she had fallen off of her rocker at first but then I decided to go ahead and give it a try and lo and behold she was right. Now how cool is that? It is much cheaper and is better for the machine!
