News

Saturday, October 8th, 2011

The past couple years I have really cut back on watching many news programs. It is just way too depressing and I’d prefer to try and keep on the positive side of things. Once in a while I will be cruising the TV channels and stumble on a story that gets my interest, such was the case early this morning while I was taking advantage of laying in bed and watching some TV on a lazy Saturday morning.

It seems that a couple had been living at their home for 40 years and just now discovered that the slab of marble that was at the front of their front door step was actually a tomb stone belonging to a woman named Jane. Sorry I can’t remember the last name, but that doesn’t really matter now does it? The date was back in the 1860′s and they were not able to find any remains (which I believe to be a good thing) and plan on keeping this unusual find, right side up this time,.

What Do You Predict And Will You Share It

Friday, September 30th, 2011

I was turned on to a really cool site that allows you to make a Prediction and then sit back and wait and see if it comes true by the date that you predicted it to. You can link it to your Face Book page or Twitter and I was also told that I could link it here on my blog but I searched and searched and for the life of me I could not find the slanted number 8 that they told me to find and click on after making my prediction, sigh…..

I still think it is a cool site. What I Predict isĀ  “There is no doubt that the new technology that our law enforcement population have been issued called Cellebrite cell phone extraction device (UFED) will be in the news because it will be abused by so many people that wear the “badge.” which is a device that I had heard about and then read about on Face Book last night. Pretty scary info her folks, please check it out if you can.

Now after saying all of that I just found the slanted 8 and I’m going to try and link it here. Will see if it works or not. Here goes nothing folks…

Well it doesn’t come out as a link, but when I copy and pasted the info and put it in the address bar it does take you right to my Prediction where you can then read it and then comment on it. Pretty cool beans if I don’t say so myself.

Face Book Issues

Thursday, September 22nd, 2011

I have been spending more time on Face Book lately, since figuring out how to get around on it with more ease and grace. I do have to say that I am one of millions of others that are unhappy with the new changes that they just pulled on us. This really sounds like a big deal, even heard about it on one of the late night talks show that I watch on occasion. And now it seems that they are working on even more changes. . . .

Sunday Paper

Sunday, August 28th, 2011

We did not get our Sunday paper this morning. I went out at 8:30, then again at 9:30 and there’s no paper. My neighbors don’t subscribe, so I don’t know if the paper carrier came though here or not, as there are no other driveways to check and see if they got one and just not me. This is so frustrating. I was looking forward to sipping on my cup of coffee and reading the paper this morning to see what all is going on in the world that I can’t find by going online. But considering what we went through last night I’ve decided not to call and complain. Just because we got through Irene all right doesn’t mean that the paper delivery guy made out as well.

Clueless

Thursday, August 25th, 2011

Not that we had any plans for this weekend, but I can tell you that riding out a major hurricane certainly wasn’t what I had in mind what-so-ever. The grocery stores are starting to fill up with folks buying bottled water, batteries, boards, milk and course the always needed toilet paper. I have never really figured out why the toilet paper, anyone out there have a clue?
