Getting the Pool Ready for This Summer

Tuesday, May 8th, 2012
When we first moved here, my neighbor across the street was nice enough to invite us over to use his pool a few times. We had a really hot summer, and although the Lake is close by, the lake water is much dirtier than a pool or a hot tub, so I like spending a few house floating and splashing around in a pool.
This year he told me that the trouble he’s had with replacing pool heat pumps is going to make for a later start to using his pool this season. At least he has a good source for them and it will be fixed soon.

It’s always been all about the shoes, ever since I can remember.

If It Is Still Dark Out, I Should Be Sleeping

morningpersona1

I hate mornings. I come from a family of night owls that dates back as far as anyone can remember so I got it honestly. As much as I love the sunshine I would do just fine if I slept all day and was up all night for the rest of my live, not a hard thing to do these days with so many options to work other than the typical Monday – Friday 9 – 5.

Summer Fare

Monday, April 16th, 2012

It might not be officially summer for another two months, but let me tell you, it’s plenty hot around here. We have been taking cover from afternoon thunderstorms every day for more than a week. Last night the storms had heavy rain and hail, plus lots of lightning strikes. I was so concerned about the lightning that I unplugged the computer and the video games so that if we got hit by lightning that they would not get fried.

Pretty Day – Pretty Girls

Tuesday, March 27th, 2012

While spending an hour at the park, we came across this party of Mexican kids. The girls were so pretty in their dresses! And the boys were perfect gentlemen – even to the point of giving up their suit jackets to put over the girls shoulders because it was so cold and the girls were shivering.
