I couldn’t help wonder if she was using some type of skin lightening product, much like the skin lightening treatments that Michael became famous for using. The pictures of the both of them from back in the day definitely look like a skin lightening product has been used as well as a good amount of plastic surgery all the way around. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have an issue with cosmetic surgery or skin lightening products. I just wish that they were more up front and honest about it, when it is so apparent to everyone that their appearances have been altered. It’s really no big deal now a days. I do believe you would be hard put to find a celebrity that hasn’t tried to alter their looks.

This kid has always had sensitive skin and then when puberty hit she has had her hands full dealing with acne and still is. I’m not surprised, I still have occasional break outs and I’m and old lady in need of some anti-aging light therapy. Your face is never not in need of some type of special care for heaven’s sake.

I sent mom a Hallmark card and a gift card to a nice restaurant, so hopefully she will have a nice meal without having to cook. She was planning a nice quiet day at home, hope she enjoys her special day.

This year my birthday was on a Sunday and I could take the entire day to relax and just putter around the house. Read the Sunday paper in the recliner and hubby brought me a fresh cup of coffee. That was a nice start to the day!

We went out to dinner at the Cracker Barrel. We could have gone to a fancier place, but I like the food at Cracker Barrel and they know us there, so we never have to wait long for a table. It was nice to have a home cooked tasting meal without me having to do the cooking and the clean up!

My son brought over a stack of new CDs for me. The best of the bunch is the new Eagle’s collection. I listened to a few of the songs this evening and really like the traditional Eagles sound. It was sweet of him to pick out the music for me – he knows how picky I am about music – I can’t hardly stand to listen to the radio anymore. Just some sports talk stations when I’m out driving in the afternoons.

Thanks to everyone who sent me cards and emails – they were really nice. I loved the Hoops and YoYo card from my little sister. That Hoops and YoYo cracks me up! Moving her to Tennessee was the best thing I ever did and it’s mostly just because I love this house. Being a stay at home mom was never in the cards for me since I’m also a single mom so having a home that my daughter can grow up in even if it is with a nanny makes me feel good at the end of the day. I’ve got her a great little room with a nice set of windows (painted pink, of course) and I even looked into ADT security TN for her feeling of safety and for mine. I love being the mom but sometimes it’s a lot of responsibility wondering if she’s doing well and adjusting okay and I also feel guilty at times about working so much but I know that everything I do is to make her life and mine better at the end of the day. I hope she appreciates that but I’m pretty sure she does. Who could blame me for making a better life for us?
