Don’t Judge A Book By It’s Cover

Sunday, April 22nd, 2012

I am reading a book by Sybil Leek, “Diary of a Witch” The private life of one of the world’s most famous and colorful psychics. It isn’t the type of book that I would normally read, but I needed a book to stick in my purse the other week and just grabbed one off of the book shelve as I was running out the door. But I’m glad that I picked this book because it has turned out to be a pretty interesting read that I have learned a lot from it as well. When I read this part about Ben Franklin I knew that I had

The great American statesman, scientist, inventor and philosopher, Benijamin Frankin, wrote his own epitaph at the age of twenty-two. Carl Van Doren called “the most famous of American epitaphs.” Unfortunately, it was never used on Ben Franklin’s tombstone.

Mother’s Day, Not At My Place

Thursday, March 29th, 2012

It looks like we will be spending Mother’s Day at my brother and sister-in-law’s house this year, which suites me just fine. Last year I was the host and it kept me so busy that I didn’t really have a chance to spend any time with my mother. I don’t enjoy having family get togethers at my place. I really don’t enjoy cooking or cleaning up the house spit spot and if it requires decorating with festive holiday decorations – oh please, gag me with a spoon…..

Pretty Day – Pretty Girls

Tuesday, March 27th, 2012

While spending an hour at the park, we came across this party of Mexican kids. The girls were so pretty in their dresses! And the boys were perfect gentlemen – even to the point of giving up their suit jackets to put over the girls shoulders because it was so cold and the girls were shivering.

WHINEY DOG

Thanks for the post, Arthur Lawrence

I was on-line today using my clearwirewimax4g connection to do some research from home on a project that I am working on for work. When we don’t have clients scheduled or specific meeting that he have to be at, if we can do our work from home, our boss allows it. The only rule is that we have to always be available by phone and check our e-mail hourly. It is a pretty good deal to be able to stay home and do research for your job from the comfort of your couch and laptop. Today though, I was totally distracted. I usually take my dog for a walk in the mornings before I go to work and before I get in the shower. Today, I had so much work to do though, I decided that I would walk him later in the afternoon—big mistake! It was like he knew that we didn’t go on a walk when we usually do and he was getting fussy. By getting fussy he was whining, barking at me, and sitting looking out the window whining. It was so annoying I couldn’t focus on work. Finally, I had to break down and walk him for thirty minutes! I will not be doing that again. If I am staying home working, he is getting walked in the morning!

AFV, Still The Best

Saturday, March 3rd, 2012

Out of all of the tv shows that are about funny/unusual videos that have become so popular through out the years, I have to say the America’s Funniest Videos is still the best out of the bunch. I very rarely agree with the choices that the judges make on which ones are the funniest, but it is still fun to watch.
