Donna Lundy

I’m young at heart but older than I look.

My family is the most important part of my life. I work to pay the bills but not to define my life. I think my life is better reflected in the lives of the people that I have cared for and cared about over the years.

I should have been a doctor, but back in the day, girls were discouraged from pursuing that career. It was suggested to me to be a nurse or a school teacher. Neither one sounded like a good career for me and I am glad that I don’t go in that direction – I would have been miserable. But if I had even the tiniest encouragement from anyone with influence in my teenage years, I would have made a great doctor.

Instead, my life took a path that winds and turns all over the country and in and out of a lot of people’s lives. It’s been a very cool trip so far.

When I signed up for the account, I cuold not get my name without the 1 at the end. Evidently there is another Donna Lundy out there who claimed the name first. I find that strange – it’s not such a common name, you know? One of these days I might send her an email and say hello. I wonder how that would work out?
