Pro Plants

Monday, December 26th, 2011

The center pieces that I ordered from http://www.proplants.com/ were a bit hit at yesterday’s Christmas dinner. My mother is a very difficult person to please, she seems to always find something to find fault with each and every time I host an event at my house. Last year she was very unhappy with the decorative turkeys that I used for centerpieces at Thanksgiving, she didn’t like the fact that she had to look at a turkey butt during the whole meal! This year she was most pleased with my selection from ProPlants.

Got Herself A Raleigh Accountant

Sunday, December 25th, 2011

Just got started settling in after the big Christmas dinner when the house phone rang with an old school friend on the other end calling to wish me a Merry Christmas. This was just so totally out of the blue since we don’t really communicate with each other all that much, but it was really cool hearing from her. She just recently married a nice looking raleigh accountant and moved south to live out the rest of her years in the warmer weather than she has been dealing with in Vermont for the past 25 years or so.

That was a nice Christmas surprise hearing from her, a nice way to end the day of Christmas 2011.

Was Santa Good to You?

Sunday, December 25th, 2011

Hope you had a nice Christmas. We had a quiet day, with a few nice gifts and lots of good food. I appreciated the quiet part – I don’t really like a lot of noise and swarms of people. It is much  nicer to have a few good people close by your side.

Moving to Tennessee

Thursday, December 22nd, 2011

Thanks for the post from Barney Crosby

Moving her to Tennessee was the best thing I ever did and it’s mostly just because I love this house. Being a stay at home mom was never in the cards for me since I’m also a single mom so having a home that my daughter can grow up in even if it is with a nanny makes me feel good at the end of the day. I’ve got her a great little room with a nice set of windows (painted pink, of course) and I even looked into ADT security TN for her feeling of safety and for mine. I love being the mom but sometimes it’s a lot of responsibility wondering if she’s doing well and adjusting okay and I also feel guilty at times about working so much but I know that everything I do is to make her life and mine better at the end of the day. I hope she appreciates that but I’m pretty sure she does. Who could blame me for making a better life for us?
