Quiet Thanksgiving

November 26th, 2009

This year we have to stay close to home instead of getting together with the whole family for a big meal. There’s a bit of a tiff underway and I want to part of it. So we are staying home and I’m cooking a small turkey for just us. I think I’ll do sweet potatoes and a couple of side dishes that are my long time favorites, like corn pudding and turnip greens with relish.

Hope you have a nice Thanksgiving – no matter where you are when you sit down to eat. And be sure to kiss and thank the cook!

Coconuts

This is another song that my father taught us to perform when we were little girls. It was originally released by Danny Kaye and there are versions by Monty Python, Pinochio and this one, from the Lion King.

You Go, Girl!

If you missed SNL on Saturday night, you can still watch Taylor Swift’s monologue. It’s so cute!
