Tonight I saw the first commercial for the new Survivor series. The premiere will be on September 17. I have to mark the calendar to make sure that I don’t plan anything to conflict with watching the new show.
It looks like this new series is again in a tropical setting and the twist is that they have a huge cast. They are starting out with 20 contestants this time. That is going to make for a lot of interesting characters and some exciting competitions.

One of my biggest uplanned expense each week is the cost of gas. I never know how much driving I’ll be doing and I don’t know how much the cost of gas will be from week to week. Last month I had hopes that gas would be dropping back to about $2.00 a gallon – or perhaps a little under that, if we got very lucky.
But last week, gas jumped back up to $2.59 a gallon and I have no idea why it went up so quickly. I’ve heard nothing on the new about bad weather or oil shortages anywhere. So what the heck is going on?

This year I was so excited to plant a larger garden. I bought twice as many tomato plants and twice as many pepper plants as last year. And started some pumpkins from seed.
I want to plant some flowers, too and bought some seed packets and phlox plants to try growing a few flowers around the mail box.

I’ve been watching the new Big Brother TV show and find it very interesting. The idea is that you put a bunch of people together into a house and make them compete against each other for a big money prize.
It is interesting to see the alliances, the plotting, the betrayals and the human drama that is caused by the confinement, food restrictions, and contests orchestrated by the shows producers.
