My grandparents came to America in the early 1900′s. They always had a cup of tea for themselves or their guests. In fact, they always offered, “Would you like a nice cup of tea?” It was always referred to as a nice cup. I can’t think in my head about having tea without thinking of it as a nice cup of tea.

But, when I was 16 I was introduced to coffee and as an adult I have fully embraced coffee. I have a cup of coffee in the morning and am not human nor fit to be around until after I have had my cup of coffee.

Tonight, I am enjoying a nice cup of tea while I watch Letterman and try to get settled in for the night. Every time I make myself a nice cup of tea I think of my grandmother and my granddad and I miss them.
